After 36 years of dedicated service, Columbia Rescue 1, our 1993 Excellance, Inc ambulance, will be fully transitioning to reserve status within the next few days to make way for Rescue 3! We have finally taken delivery of this long-awaited apparatus, and she will be ready to hit the streets soon! We look forward to many years of serving the community with this much needed addition to our fleet! Huge thanks to Southwest Ambulance Sales, Medix Specialty Vehicles, LLC, and Dynamic Edge for bringing this project to life and providing us with a beautiful Medix RP-90!

The newest addition to our fleet is almost here! Stay tuned for our new color scheme coming soon!

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of William “W***y” Richards, a beloved member of our extended Columbia Manor family. W***y was more than just a vital part of our annual fundraiser—he was a creative force behind the scenes and a passionate actor who helped to bring the Manor to life year after year.

Today, we stand with Columbia Manor in mourning this tremendous loss.

W***y, your presence will be deeply missed, but your legacy will forever live on in the memories we’ve built together.

Arrangements are being handled by Wright Funeral Home & Crematory, Headland AL. 💔

Members of the Columbia Police Department and members of the Columbia Fire Department were approached about participating in a cake auction to benefit the HCHS Senior Beta Club, so of course a friendly Red vs Blue competition ensued! By the end, members of both departments had combined forces and raised $1,000 to contribute towards the Beta Club’s National Convention trip to Savannah, GA!

P.S. Thanks to the members of Columbia PD for being such good losers…better luck next time boys! 😉
