The National Weather Service has just upgraded the severe weather outlook for our area to a 4 of 5 moderate threat. Stay weather aware and have a planned safe space if severe weather requires you to seek refuge. Severe weather is expected to impact our area between 4-8pm. Stay safe!

A strong storm system will approach the mid Mississippi Valley today, bringing multiple rounds of severe storms this morning and again this afternoon/evening. A threat for multiple strong to intense tornadoes will be likely this afternoon/evening. Visit weather.gov for the latest.

Please avoid outdoor fires, Fire Departments all over Monroe and St Clair county have been responding to brush fires. Thank you and stay safe!

The combination of low humidity, gusty southwesterly winds, and dry vegetation will lead to Elevated to Critical Fire Danger today, meaning fires could easily get out of control. Therefore, outdoor burning is strongly discouraged today.
