The Associated Students of the University of Missouri

The Associated Students of the University of Missouri ASUM is the Student Voice in Government! We operate independently of the University of Missouri System and are funded entirely by student fees.

ASUM is a non-partisan, nonprofit student lobbying organization that represents the 75,000+ students of the University of Missouri System, and has done so for the past 40 years. ASUM is involved in many political events on campus, such as assisting with voter registration, helping students with absentee ballots, organizing candidate forums, student issue surveys, and more. We also offer a State Le

gislative Internship, a one-of-a-kind program that enables students to engage directly with the political process by lobbying lawmakers to promote student-centric legislative priorities in Jefferson City. ASUM System Leadership Team:
Steven Chaffin, Executive Director
Chelsea Spence, Legislative Director
Natalie Butler, Assistant Legislative Director
