CUMBERLAND
The casting call is open for “extras” as the “Mayor of Kingstown” series will film several scenes in Cumberland next month during its final season.

The production will use the Western Maryland Railway Station June 3-5 as the setting to create a town reminiscent of Detroit in late winter/early spring, according to Chelsea Lynn Peterson, extras casting director for the Paramount+ seriesWe’re looking for kids, teens, adults of all ethnicities to portray a variety of fictional characters, including town locals, train station guests and passengers as extras,” Peterson said.

The show, from Academy Award nominee and “Yellowstone” co-creator Taylor Sheridan, follows the fictional McLusky family — power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the prison business is the only thriving industry.

Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at the family’s attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither, according to the “Mayor of Kingstown” website.

The show stars Jeremy Renner, Emma Laird, Hugh Dillion and Edie Falco and has filmed Seasons 2-5 in the Pittsburgh area. Peterson said production on the fifth and final season will conclude in June.

Those hired as extras must be willing to work multiple days “to help with continuity of the scenes we are filming.”

“We are committed to inclusive, diverse casting,” Peterson said.
