If you or someone you know is looking for a way to support student veterans in higher education, we have an opportunity for you!

Coastal Carolina University is looking to hire a new Veteran Program Manager. Applicants should have at least a bachelor's degree, veteran status is a preference, and experience with programming at higher education (preference) to apply.

Every school in our state can improve the way we support student veterans. If you or someone you know is a motivated individual with a strong vision of what it means to help student veterans, service members, and military dependents, please APPLY!

I am asking that you reserve the date of August 28th at 11:00 am to attend this informative zoom meeting concerning the Fisher House that we are going to build on the property of the Dorn VA Medical Center. This in not just a meeting to ask for donations, but the information that is given out concerning the Fisher House maybe of value to you when you talk to your post commanders or any veteran that you may speak to.

Please send this information onto your post commanders and hopefully you and your commanders will attend this zoom meeting. Without your help in not only donating, but getting out the information to others, this project will not be a reality and the statements above will not amount to much.

You do not need to RSVP, but it would be helpful if you did!

Research has shown that adaptive sports are beneficial to assist in recovery from combat trauma.
However, there is a widespread lack of dedicated programs and participation in adaptive sports
among veterans. This study seeks to identify what helps or hinders veteran adaptive sports
participation in the Columbia, SC region. Completing this survey will also help Brooks Herring,
Fei McMahon, and Emma Mitsui fulfill research requirements to graduate from the University of
South Carolina's Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
