The ORS Energy Operations Department performs a wide variety of analytical, research and administrative functions in the regulation of investor-owned electric and natural gas utilities. This position performs regulatory oversight duties related to utility operations, financial impacts to both utilities and customers, electric and natural gas reliability, commodity forecasts, and other regulatory oversight functions. In addition to current federal and state laws and regulations, this position will directly support implementation of new statutory requirements in the SC Energy Security Act (H.3309).

The Broadband Office is seeking part-time and/or full-time temporary interns to assist in the monitoring and reporting of broadband office funded projects. Work schedules are flexible to accommodate class schedules with full-time work available during breaks or at other available times. Some in-office and field work job duties include:

-Conduct site visits on funded projects to collect data on overall progress.
-Plot findings, review, and import data using ESRI ArcGIS Pro software.
-Prepare both static and web-based ESRI Story maps.
-Attend virtual status meetings with broadband office grantees.
-Compile notes and provide support on action items.
