Properties with Friday food organics collection will be collected on Sat, June 20. All other refuse schedules will be running as usual.

Due to the potential for rain and lightning during event setup and throughout the event, the Columbia Heights Art & Info Fair scheduled for today, Wed, June 17, from 4–7 pm at Huset Park West has been canceled.

We look forward to seeing you at our other upcoming events!

Tomorrow, June 17, is the Columbia Heights Art & Info Fair from 4-7 pm at Huset Park West (520 Mill St NE). Due to potential storms, we'll announce at noon whether the event will proceed.

This year's event includes:

• 40+ City booths and community organizations
• 30+ arts & craft vendors
• Magic show by MagicBrad at 5:30 pm
• Free henna from 4:30-6:30 pm
• Free ice cream from Flamingos Ice Cream and Treats, while supplies last, courtesy of Magnifi Financial
• Eggroll Queen food truck

Tonight, June 16, a Central Avenue NE Reconstruction: Municipal Consent Public Hearing is taking place at City Hall (3989 Central Ave NE) at 6 pm.

This public hearing is part of the formal municipal consent process for the Columbia Heights City Council to officially approve or reject the design plans for the reconstruction of Central Ave NE.

Representatives from MnDOT will present information about the project from 37th Ave NE to I-694. The roadway layout will also be available for viewing.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to provide verbal comments.

Construction for this project is scheduled to start in spring 2028.
