River's Edge Park - Fishing Pond Project Update

Due to higher-than-expected water levels, the City was unable to safely install the new fishing pier despite multiple attempts. The project has been temporarily postponed and is expected to be completed this fall when conditions improve.

In the meantime, City crews will clean up the area and ensure it remains safe for visitors.

Thank you for your patience as we work to complete these improvements.

Great day at the Columbia Falls Veterans Home celebrating the 130th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone for “Old Main”! 🇺🇸

Mayor Don Barnhart had the honor of sharing a few words as we reflected on the long history of this special place and the generations of veterans it has served since 1896.

The program included music, local speakers, and a lot of appreciation for the legacy that continues today. It was a great reminder of the strong connection between our community and those who served.

Thank you to everyone who helped put on such a meaningful event….especially to our veterans for your service!
