Roads in and around C**t are flooding due to heavy rain. Several low-lying roads and bridges in the C**t area are already under water or becoming impassable.

Please use extreme caution if you’re traveling near C**t right now. St. Francis County and surrounding areas remain under flood warnings.

🚧 Turn Around, Don’t Drown!

Even shallow-looking water can be dangerous — never drive through flooded roads.
Tips for safety:
• Check road conditions before heading out
• Use main highways when possible and avoid back roads
• Drive slowly and allow extra travel time

🚫🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥🚫

Effective March 23, 2026, a burn ban has been issued due to dry conditions and increased fire risk.

🚫 NO outdoor burning is allowed, including:
• Trash burning
• Yard debris burning
• Open flames of any kind

This ban is in place to help protect our community, property, and emergency responders.

⚠️ Please take this seriously—violations may result in fines and/or legal action.

We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep C**t safe. Updates will be shared as conditions change.

🚨 Winter Safety Reminder – Frozen Ponds & Lakes 🚨

As colder temperatures move through our area, we want to remind everyone that frozen ponds and lakes are NOT safe.

❄️ Our region does not stay cold long enough for ice to form thick, stable layers.
Even if the surface looks solid, ice here can break without warning and will not support a person’s weight, including children or pets.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Please talk with your children about the dangers of playing, walking, or skating on frozen water. What may look fun can quickly turn into a life-threatening emergency.

Let’s keep everyone safe this winter by staying off frozen ponds and lakes.
