On behalf of the Miller County Recreation Department, we are very grateful for our Track & Field team this year! We had a great turnout, and the future looks very bright for MCRD athletics.

We are incredibly proud of all of our athletes and coaches. None of this would have been possible without the support of our parents and the dedication and guidance from our coaching staff — Russ Henley, Leigh Ribolzi, Melanie Williams, Melanese Stevenson and Kenneth Ellison. Thank you all for everything you have done for our kids this season.

We also want to recognize the many MCRD Track & Field athletes who competed at Districts. We are proud of every single athlete involved and the hard work, sportsmanship, and determination they showed throughout the season.

A very special shoutout goes to Robyn Lembrick, who qualified in her event to advance to State! Robyn, we are beyond proud of your accomplishments and the way you represented MCRD. Congratulations.

Big things are happening at Spring Creek Park, and we are excited to finally share the news!

Over the past several months, we have been working alongside our county commissioners to create a plan for major improvements to the park entrance and parking lots, including repaving, repairs, and upgraded access throughout the property.

As part of this exciting project, the main drive into the park — along with the dirt road leading to the ag barn — will officially become DOT roads! This is a huge step forward for the future of the park and our community.

Now comes the fun part… and we want YOU to be a part of it!

These new roads need names, and we are asking the community to help us decide. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on Spring Creek Park by helping choose names that reflect our history, community pride, agriculture, nature, or anything that makes our area special.

We cannot wait to see what our community comes up with, and we appreciate everyone’s support as we continue making improvements to the park for generations to come. I will take ideas until the last week of May!

Throwback Thursday at Spring Creek Park.
These signs tell the story of years past — moments of pride, hard work, and accomplishments that helped shape this park and this community.
This year, we’re starting something new.
With fresh energy and a shared vision, we’re building teams and creating opportunities that will carry us forward for years to come. Our goal is simple: to honor what came before us while working to add even more memories, more achievements, and yes… more signs at Spring Creek Park.
The past built the foundation. Now it’s our turn to build the future.

Please share any stories, photos and tag whoever we can that are on the signs in the comments below

Opening Day was truly something special. From the first pitch to the last smile, it was a day full of energy, laughter, and so many great moments. We went through plenty of food and drinks, played a lot of ball, and captured more memories than I can count!

The ceremony came together so well, and while it definitely gave me a workout, every second was worth it. Y’all had this rec director clocking over 20k steps and over 10 miles today. Who needs a gym when you have opening day?

The best part, by far, was seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces and watching friends, families, and our whole community come together.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make today happen. It was an absolute joy to be part of it all. Here are some pictures from the day—I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

P.S. please post all the pictures you have from today in the comments we would love to see them.
