Our friends at Solar United Neighbors are making headlines!

Solar United Neighbors envisions a clean, equitable energy system that directs control and benefits back to local communities, with solar on every roof and money in every pocket. Their first co-op is now open for residents within the Colorado Springs Utilities service area, where you can sign up for your own rooftop solar power! The non-profit organization Solar United Neighbors is forming the first-ever solar co-op in Colorado Springs. The group helps homeowners to save money on solar installation by leveraging group purchasing power.

On Saturday, April 24 the Office of Innovation staff and their families participated in the Great American Cleanup Pikes Peak Partners (while practicing social-distancing), a national event dedicated to grassroots spring-cleaning movement. The City of Colorado Springs is committed to improving our environment by creating cleaner parks, streetscapes, and public spaces through litter removal and elimination.
