Citizens Project is recommending a YES vote on Amendment 87. Amendment 87 would help the state generate an additional $2 billion in revenue for the state. This additional revenue would go towards underfunded programs: K-12 education, healthcare, and early childcare/education. We're in the final stretch before this midterm election, and voter guides are still available if you need one. At Citizens Project, we're accountable only to the people of Colorado Springs, so when you vote this week, we implore you to please consult credible sources for information on this complex ballot.

Earlier this month, when ballots were first being mailed, we submitted this op-ed to The Gazette about their online voter guide. Responsible, local journalism is a cornerstone of any democracy, so we encourage our local outlet to take this responsibility seriously. Since they won't share our op-ed about their online voter guide, we are sharing it here for you. Please vote based on trusted information and demand responsible local coverage.

Now get out there and vote, and consult credible sources first!

Sincerely,
Your team at Citizens Project ✊

Thank you to ICONS for inviting us to speak at their Shantay You Stay Informed event! Citizens Project is recommending a NO vote on Proposition 132, as we believe that this policy will disproportionately target young adults and Black and Brown communities. People struggling with addiction are not criminals to be processed, they deserve treatment, stability, and the realistic possibility of recovery. To read more about the ballot measures you will be voting on this November 3rd, check out our voter guide on our website: citizensproject.org

Thank you to ICONS for giving Citizens Project the opportunity to talk about some of the ballot measures residents will be voting on this upcoming election! We are recommending a NO vote on Proposition 133, as we understand the concerns victim advocacy organizations have expressed; that passage of this measure could lead to increased risks for victims, making them more likely to be criminalized for actions they were coerced or forced to take part in and less likely to report. To read more about this upcoming election's ballot measures, visit our website to access our voter guide: https://citizensproject.org

Citizens Project is recommending a NO vote for Proposition 135. Proposition 135 would take away medical decisions away from youth, families, and the doctors they trust and put it in the hands of politicians. To read more about this upcoming election's ballot measures, visit our website to access our voter guide: https://citizensproject.org

Citizens Project is recommending a NO vote on Proposition 134. Proposition 134 does not clearly define how its proposed policy will be enforced amongst schools throughout Colorado, opening the door for invasive inspections of all students' bodies. To read more about the ballot measures you will be voting on this November 3rd, check out our voter guide on our website: citizensproject.org

Citizens Project recomienda votar NO a la Proposición 134.
