Junction VFD recently received a 1999 American LaFrance Quint from a donation by Port Aransas FD through our Helping Hands Program! Port Aransas FD originally acquired the truck through a Helping Hands donation as well, and they decided to pay it forward once they were able to acquire a new truck. This new truck greatly increases Junction VFD's capabilities, allowing them to reach elevated structures with the ladder, as well as being equipped with a water pump.

Thanks to Port Aransas FD for the donation, and congrats to Junction VFD on receiving the truck!

Were doing things a little differently this year. 😲 We've added the option for our cookers to choose a "jackpots only" team or goat 🐐 team (traditional). Spots are limited to 15 jackpots only and 40 goat teams. Jackpots only teams will be eligible to win a cash 💵 prize (top three places in each category: beans, pork ribs, brisket, and desert) and traditional goat teams will be eligible to win cash 💸 AND a trophy (top FIVE win cash, first place also gets a trophy and trophy buckles, and top ten will also receive plaques).

Please note: The $5 band admission fee is waived for cookers!
