Here is what Mackenzie had to say about her time with us as a CES Cadet Teacher this year…

Over the past year that I have been a cadet teacher I have learned a lot about how to
deal with kids in a proper manner. Some of my favorite memories in the elementary were the big assembly where Mrs. Severin kissed a pig & I loved watching the expressions on every child's face.
Most of all though my favorite part of it all is when I come into class and everyone all of a sudden is running to the door with open arms yelling “Ms. Kenzieeee” it brightens my day in every way.

Here is what Lawsen had to say about her time with us as a CES Cadet Teacher this year…

Being a cadet teacher is such a rewarding experience, mostly because of the unique bonds I get to form with the students. There’s something special about truly getting to know each child—learning their interests, their quirks, and what makes them unique to themselves. I’ve quickly realized that no two students learn the same way, so I like finding ways of figuring out how to adapt my approach for each individual student. Whether a student needs a visual aid, a hands-on example, or just a little extra encouragement, seeing that "lightbulb moment" happen because I was able to help a student to their specific needs is one of the best parts of being a cadet teacher. I also can't forget about the class parties, of course!

Here is what Tatum had to say about her time with us as a CES Cadet Teacher this year…

Entering my senior year, I still had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. Getting the opportunity to cadet teach has really helped me realize that I want to pursue a career in Elementary Education! It was such an amazing experience to be a part of, and I truly enjoyed it. Every day, it was something new with the kiddos. From fun class parties to field trips! It was always fun to be involved with the kids and help them learn new things each day. I learned to teach math lessons, how to take attendance, and so much more. I am very fortunate to have been put in a class with such a great teacher to teach me how to get things done! Mrs. LaSata’s class was definitely an adventure all year round, but I wouldn’t have wanted to get put in any other class.
