The Covington County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the national “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign from May 18, 2026 through May 31, 2026.

During this campaign, deputies will be actively enforcing Mississippi seat belt and child restraint laws throughout Covington County. The goal of this initiative is simple: to save lives and reduce injuries caused by traffic crashes.

Seat belts remain one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and your passengers in a vehicle. Deputies encourage all motorists to buckle up every trip, every time, no matter how short the distance.
