At approximately 1400 hours Companies 4, 5, 6, 42, and 44 were dispatched to 88 Clifton Ave Collingdale for a building fire. PD arrived on location and corrected the address to Clifton Ave in Sharon Hill adding Company 9. An electrical fire was located in the rear and held in check with dry chem extinguishers until Peco arrived and secured the power. Extensive overhaul was performed and the fire was extinguished. Companies operated approximately an hour and a half.

COLLINGDALE — Volunteer fire companies can be notorious for their competitive nature, from hustling to arrive first at a blaze to a friendly softball game, firefighters certainly enjoy a rivalry.

Santa made his rounds today in Collingdale and Aldan. He didn’t let a little rain keep him away. We want to thank him and the members from 6 & 42 for taking time out of their busy schedules to come see everyone. If you have pictures of Santa’s visit and want to tag us we would love to see them!

Santa is getting ready to visit everyone. He will be leaving the fire house at 11:00.
Parents - There will be 3 separate groups going out. We will try our best to get through both sides of Collingdale and Aldan at the same time before the rain starts heavy. We will update social media If we have to stop due to weather.
