As EMS Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize the dedicated EMTs, Advanced EMT’s and Paramedics of Collierville Fire & Rescue who serve our community each and every day.
Since establishing its own ambulance service on July 1, 2022, Collierville Fire & Rescue has remained committed to providing high-quality emergency medical care while ensuring crews have access to the training, equipment, and technology needed to meet the expectations of our community.
This week, EMS Chief Joe Lee R**e wanted to personally thank crews for the work they do day in and day out. Each shift was invited to Firehouse 3, where Chief R**e along with Inspector Rashad Weathers, and Inspector Andy Skic cooked hamburgers and hot dogs while crews spent time together enjoying fellowship and camaraderie outside of emergency responses. Firefighters also received a commemorative EMS Week challenge coin in appreciation of their service.
Chief R**e shared:
“When the opportunity came along to recognize our hardworking EMTs and paramedics for EMS Week, we were excited to be able to give back. They are top-notch professionals every day for the citizens of Collierville. Providing the equipment and resources our crews need is a big part of my job, but being able to support them in their journeys and give them the opportunity to sit down, eat, and fellowship together is very rewarding. Our crews deserve it.”
To the men and women serving on our ambulances and fire apparatus thank you for the compassion, professionalism, and care you provide to our community every day.
