🖌️🎨 Welcome to our June Artist, Sharon Nelson! 🎨🖌️

A self-taught artist with more than fifty years of painting experience, Sharan M. Nelson brings a lifetime of artistry, teaching, and detailed realism to the Collierville Burch Library as our June Artist of the month. Known for her intricate still lifes, Sharan’s work celebrates florals, treasured fabrics, delicate glassware, jewelry, and cherished heirlooms, blending beauty, memory, and nostalgia through rich texture, color, and light.

With decades of experience teaching oil and portrait painting, Sharan’s June exhibition will feature a stunning collection of florals, fabric studies, and glassware paintings that reflect her signature style and appreciation for the timeless beauty of everyday treasures.

As part of her Artist of the Month feature, Sharan will also host a Postcard painting class on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 3 p.m. We invite the community to enjoy her work throughout the month and join her for this special creative opportunity.

This month, the Collierville Burch Library is delighted to spotlight Nostalgic Tea Rooms, a charming British-inspired tearoom nestled inside Sheffield Antiques Mall and lovingly built from one family’s dream.

Owned and operated by Sarah, Peter, and Charlotte Norris, this family-run business brings a taste of England to Collierville through authentic flavors and heartfelt hospitality. Nostalgic Tea Rooms began with a simple but meaningful vision: to create a welcoming space where people can gather, enjoy a cup of tea, share conversation with loved ones, and linger as long as they like. Originally from England, Sarah and her family moved to the United States ten years ago in pursuit of new opportunities, bringing with them a deep passion for traditional British tea culture. When the perfect space became available in Collierville, that dream became a reality.

Now celebrating three years in the community, Nostalgic Tea Rooms has become a beloved local destination known for its traditional high tea, English scones, handcrafted treats, and welcoming atmosphere. With loyal regulars and new visitors alike, the tearoom has created lasting memories by offering more than delicious food and drink, it provides a cozy space centered on connection, comfort, and community.

As part of our Local Business Spotlight, Nostalgic Tea Rooms will host a special Tea Tasting Experience at their location on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 1 p.m. Guests will enjoy a curated tea tasting paired with delicious scones while immersing themselves in the charm of an authentic tearoom experience. This special off-site event brings the library into the community for an afternoon of culture, conversation, and discovery.

We’re proud to celebrate Nostalgic Tea Rooms as our June Spotlight and invite you to discover this treasured local gem, come for the tea, stay for the experience.
