For the fifth consecutive year we have been recognized by the American Heart Association with the 2026 Mission: Lifeline® EMS Gold Achievement Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll and Target: Heart Attack Honor Roll distinction for its commitment to providing rapid, evidence-based care to patients experiencing heart attacks and strokes.
The Mission: Lifeline EMS recognition program honors emergency medical service agencies that demonstrate excellence in prehospital cardiac and stroke care by following the latest treatment guidelines and improving outcomes for patients in their communities.
This recognition reflects the dedication and professionalism of our firefighters and paramedics who provide exceptional emergency medical care every day. From the moment a 911 call is received, our crews work quickly and collaboratively with hospital partners to ensure patients suffering from life-threatening cardiac and stroke emergencies receive the best possible care.
The Gold Achievement Award recognizes sustained success in applying the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS quality improvement measures. The additional Target: Stroke Honor Roll and Target: Heart Attack Honor Roll distinctions recognize superior performance in rapidly identifying and treating stroke and cardiac patients to improve survival and recovery outcomes.
The American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline initiative focuses on improving systems of care for patients experiencing severe heart attacks and strokes by strengthening coordination between EMS agencies and hospitals.
Colleyville Fire Department continues to prioritize advanced training, data-driven performance improvement, and high-quality emergency medical services to protect the health and safety of the community.
