Happy Diwali everyone in advance! Even though official Diwali will be celebrated in early Nov this year, we had an opportunity to celebrate It with local community this past weekend. Diwali is Hindu festival, also known as Festival of Lights. On Diwali, everyone comes together irrespective of their faith in spirit of togetherness, peace and prosperity for all! It was great to celebrate Diwali in company of Mayor Aidsand F. Wright-Riggins Iii, CEDC President Cathy Kernen, Montgomery county commissioner Val Arkoosh, State Senator Katie Muth, Bob Dean and Upper Providence Supervisors!

Diwali is a celebration of new beginnings with triumph of light of darkness and good over evil. There were candles, diyas, Mehandi, ice goal and Indian dancing! An evening to remember! Thank you Bansal Family for hosting this event!

Helene worked In collaboration with our local and state representatives to secure $2 million in funding for this much needed service. This grant will immensely help our township residents by offsetting costs and the centrally located facility will reduce response time for Fire and EMS services!

Yesterday, it was another great day to door knock and talk to the neighbors. Karen, school Board Region One candidate, Helene Calci and Rajan Bansal, Upper Providence Supervisor candidates knocked the doors, chatted with neighbors about what was accomplished over past few years as well as the plans they have for their campaigns, handed over campaign material. Thank you Ed Dressler and Thank you everyone for taking time to talk to us! Looking forward to see everyone to come out and vote on Nov 2!
