PGAS and PBC Monthly Meetings
Always the 2nd Tuesday - For 2026-27 speakers club meeting on Sep 8, Oct 13, Nov 10, Dec 8, 2026 and Jan 12, Feb 9, Mar 9, Apr 14, May 11,2027.

September 8, 2026. Tuesday Monthly meeting. Birds of Australia by Ken Cohen. Ken will talk about a tour he took with Victor Emanual through Sydney, Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef, and Canberra. His photos will show some of the birds and food from these places including the Rainbow Lorikeet, Fairy Wren, different parrots, and the Australian burger. Special Event September 12. 2026. Saturday 12:00 – 4PM Lake Artemesia Bioblitz. PGAS's Lisa Garrett will lead a Birding by Ear walk starting at 12:15, meeting by the restrooms. Other guest naturalists will be leading ID hikes. See the schedule here:

October 13, 2026. Tuesday. Monthly meeting: Alex Pellegrini will be talking about his recent effort tracking our wintering short-Eared Owls to see where they spend their summers. The meeting will be at the Hap Arnold Center, College Park Airport. It will start at 7:30PM, the door opens at 7:00.

November 10, 2026. Tuesday Monthly meeting. Program: to be announced

December 8, 2026. Tuesday Monthly meeting. Kim Abplanalp, the Bird Habitat Coordinator for MD Coastal Bays Program will be talking about recent results with the floating tern colonies off Ocean City MD. The meeting will be at the Hap Arnold Center, College Park Airport. It will start at 7:30PM, the door opens at 7:00.
All are asked to bring cookies or holiday treats to share.
