To all Mono County and Inyo County residents,

We would like to extend our heartfelt wishes for safe travels to all our brave volunteer fire departments from Antelope Valley, Wheeler Crest, Swall Meadows, Mammoth, Bishop, Big Pine, Independence, and Lone Pine. These dedicated individuals are currently fighting the Gifford Fire near Santa Maria, the Rosa Fire near Riverside, and the Gold Fire near Big Bear. From both counties, we have sent 13 pieces of equipment and two Overhead to support the efforts. The dedication these men and women demonstrate by leaving their jobs and families behind to help other communities in need is truly overwhelming. Their selflessness and commitment to protecting others, no matter the risk or the sacrifice, speaks volumes about their character and the strength of our community. We are forever grateful for their service and wish them all a safe and swift return home.

Thank you, Dale Schmidt Region VI XMN Coordinator Damon Carrington Region VI XIN Coordinator
