Please stay off the roads if you can and stay safe!

UPDATE: Marinette County plows are back out working to clear the county roads and highways. Please remain off the roads as much as possible to give them room to work to clear the snow at this time.

We have been advised that the highway crews are pulling the plow trucks off the roads at this time because of conditions. That being the case, we may be unable to reach you for some time if you become stuck on the roadways, so please refrain from travel until the storm passes and they can safely plow the roadways. We do have two of our officers on snowmobiles that will respond to emergent calls only as they can. All other calls will remain holding until the roads can be cleared.

Congratulations Ryan!!!

It was an honor to recognize Oconto Fire & Rescue Deputy Chief Ryan Pecha as the 2025 First Responder of the Year for the 4th Assembly District. Throughout his 21 years as an EMT and firefighter, he has gone above and beyond in dedicating himself to serving and protecting the people of Oconto.

The service and sacrifice of first responders cannot be overstated, and this ceremony was an opportunity to recognize one of the very best in our community. Deputy Chief Pecha truly deserves this honor, and I am thankful for him and everyone who works to keep our communities safe each day.
