Car seats are safe for travel but not for prolonged sleep. When possible, keep car rides under two hours or take frequent breaks. When it comes to preventing childhood injuries, it’s easy to pitch in!

This National Childhood Injury Prevention Week we encourage everyone to look at our homes and shared spaces through a child’s eyes. Try to spot opportunities to help kids stay healthy and injury-free.

Using car seats correctly, securing medicines and household cleaners, practicing water safety and creating safe play spaces can all reduce the risk of preventable injuries.
