Whether it’s answering late-night calls or making sure everything runs like it should, you set the standard every single day. We’re grateful for your leadership, your commitment, and the example you set for all of us.

On behalf of the Poagville Fire Department, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your approval and purchase of the new tanker/pumper for our department. This apparatus represents a major improvement to our firefighting capabilities and will greatly enhance our ability to respond to emergencies within our community and throughout Tate County.

Your continued commitment to supporting local fire services ensures that our firefighters have the equipment necessary to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently. The new tanker/pumper will significantly strengthen our water supply operations, especially in rural areas, and will allow us to better protect the lives and property of the citizens we serve.

We are truly grateful for your investment in public safety and for your partnership with the Poagville Fire Department. This addition to our fleet will have a lasting, positive impact on our readiness and our service to Tate County.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to the County Board of Supervisors for recognizing the Poagville Fire Department and our recent achievement of a Class 8 fire rating. We are also incredibly grateful for the generous $2,000 check presented to our department. This recognition reflects the hard work, training, and dedication of our firefighters, and we’re proud to serve our community with excellence.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own long-time members of the Poagville VFD, David Terry, a cherished member of our community. David was more than just a friend—he was a source of strength, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those lucky enough to know him.

His presence brought warmth, his words brought comfort, and his actions spoke of a man who truly cared. Whether through quiet support or a helping hand, David made a difference in the lives of many.

Our Poagville Fire Department has been working so incredibly hard - and it’s an amazing feeling to see the benefits from it. We’ve received the news that our department has gone from a class nine rating to a CLASS EIGHT! Thanks, guys, for the dedication and hard work!

**FYI, if you live in Poagville’s district, be sure to call your home owners insurance company for a lower rate due to the class change!!**
