Some paths quietly teach men to measure their words, govern their passions, sharpen their minds, and serve something greater than themselves. Those lessons aren’t shouted from rooftops—they’re lived out, one day at a time.

The question for the new year isn’t what you plan to change…
It’s who you are becoming.

Did you know that today is the 232nd anniversary of George Washington laying the cornerstone of the United States Capitol building? This momentous occasion took place on September 18, 1793, and it was a singularly important Masonic event in the history of our nation. Several prayers and speeches were offered, and the act was done using the traditional Masonic ceremony, wherein corn, wine, and oil—symbols of divine blessing from the book of Psalms—are poured upon the stone to dedicate the building and invoke divine favor upon its purposes.
