GOLF CART OPERATION NOTICE: It has been over five years since the Village of Coldwater adopted golf cart rules and regulations to permit them to be driven in town. We have received multiple complaints regarding the operation of these vehicles. We would like to put out a friendly reminder of the operational rules of golf carts. The rules and regulations are to help ensure safe travel on our public streets and to allow citizens to take advantage of the convenience of these vehicles:

• Golf Carts are prohibited from being operated in Coldwater Public Parks and Public Works grounds
• Children must wear proper restraining devices while in operation
• Golf Carts must be properly inspected, issued a permit, and display valid vehicle registration
• Must be operated by a valid licensed driver
• May cross over and drive on State Route 118 and State Route 219 to access the closest local street or alley

If you have any further questions, please contact the Coldwater Police Department at 419-678-2356.
