Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!

This week, the Cold Spring Police Department - Kentucky would like to recognize and thank the dedicated dispatchers at Campbell County, KY 911 Dispatch for the critical role they play in every call for service. While they may not be seen on scene, they are often the first point of contact in emergenciesโ€”answering 911 calls, gathering vital information, prioritizing incidents, and coordinating the response of police, fire, and EMS.

Dispatchers manage multiple calls at once, provide life-saving instructions over the phone, and ensure officers and first responders have the information they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. They remain calm under pressure, make split-second decisions, and serve as the constant line of communication during chaotic and often high-stress situations.

Thank you to all dispatchers for your continued service and dedication to our community.

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

The Cold Spring Police Department would like to take a moment to recognize and thank the dedicated men and women who serve our community with integrity, professionalism, and commitment. Law enforcement officers put on the badge each day ready to protect, serve, and make a positive differenceโ€”often without recognition.

We also want to recognize the families of our officers, whose support, sacrifice, and understanding make this service possible. Their strength behind the scenes does not go unnoticed.

We are grateful for the continued support from our community and proud of the officers who work tirelessly to keep our city safe.

Thank you to all law enforcement officersโ€”past and presentโ€”and their families for your service and sacrifice.

All of us at the Cold Spring Police Department - Kentucky are incredibly grateful as we reflect on the success of the 8th Annual Cram-the-Cruiser event. The support shown by our community continues to exceed all expectations.

Again this year, we were blown away by the generosity of our community โ€” so much so that we had to call in a third cruiser to hold all the donations! Even winter weather couldnโ€™t slow down the citizens of Campbell County, as food, personal hygiene items, and generous cash donations poured in.

Thanks to your kindness, we collected an overwhelming amount of monetary donations, food, and essential items, all of which will directly benefit those in need at the St. Vincent de Paul - Northern Kentucky food bank located right here in Cold Spring. Your generosity will help ensure local families receive much-needed assistance during the holiday season.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Kroger for once again allowing us to host this event at their location and for their continued support of our community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, stopped by, or helped spread the word. With the help of family, friends, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event possible, we were once again able to make a meaningful difference.

With sincere appreciation,
Officer Jared Dornheggen
