The City Hall and Police Department will be moving to our temporary location at 109 Main Street (the new fire station).
The library will be moving to their new location at 402 Red River Ave N, Suite 5.
City Hall will be closed for moving on June 9 and 10, 2026.
Below is information regarding the location for both elections this fall, as well as early voting.

The Public Works Department will be flushing watermains Monday, April 20 - Wednesday, April 23. During this time, you will occasionally experience a reduction in water pressure.

Groundwater contains dissolved iron (rust color) and manganese (black color) which will oxidize into a solid and settle in the watermains. These minerals do not pose a health hazard, but do create a problem with discoloration and/or sediment. Hydrant flushing causes a high velocity and scouring action in the watermains to remove these minerals.

We encourage property owners to flush their private water pipe after city staff has been through your area by opening several faucets at the same time until the water clears. Opening more faucets at the same time will increase the velocity and scouring action. This should only take a few minutes. You could also flush your water heater, by opening the spigot at the bottom until the water clears. Your owner’s manual should also recommend this process. Most of the sediment in your water heater is a gradual build-up of minerals that were oxidized during the heating process.

Help Wanted – Do you enjoy the great outdoors and wish you could get paid for working outside? The City of Cold Spring is accepting applications for a part-time Seasonal Parks employee. The position goes from mid-April through mid-October, Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for up to 32 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. Job duties include, but are not limited to, lawn mowing and trimming, spring and fall cleanup, and garbage change-out. The pay for this position is $23.89 per hour. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license, and have a clean driving record. Applications are available at City Hall or on our website at www.coldspring.govoffice.com. Applications will be accepted until Monday, April 13, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.

We're not done yet with the snow this season! Reminder for the winter weather upon us this weekend, no on street parking when we receive an inch or more of falling or blowing snow. The plows will be out!! And remember to clear off your sidewalk within 24 hours of when the snow stops falling.
