Constitution Marsh Audubon Center & Sanctuary is a unique and beautiful 270-acre tidal marsh managed by Audubon as a wildlife sanctuary since 1970.

The parking area located at the intersection of Indian Brook Road and Warren Landing Road is also CLOSED. However, our trail/grounds are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Information on other parking options can be found on our website.

As critical natural habitat for birds and other wildlife of the Hudson River Estuary, Constitution Marsh is part of Audubon New York’s Center Network and is located in Putnam County, NY on the east shore of the Hudson River (just south of the village of Cold Spring and across the river from West Point).

We provide quality place-based education programs focused on experiential learning for thousands of students annually. We demonstrate how to manage habitats to benefit birds, other wildlife and improve the quality of our lives, promote citizen science and inspire environmental stewardship.

Please note: We are a small facility with limited parking. Sorry canine friends, no dogs allowed.

Join our Educator-Naturalist Intern Hailey for a nature journaling program at Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary on October 24th from 2:30-4:30 PM. We will hike along the boardwalk trail as Hailey guides activities on nature journaling, sketching, and wildlife identification. Journals and pencils will be provided at no cost, but we encourage participants to bring their own journals or notebooks if they would prefer. We also welcome folks to bring their own writing and coloring supplies. Sign up on our website:

Calling all current and prospective volunteers! We have a variety of important volunteer projects we need your help to accomplish. On October 18, join us to cut back vegetation along our our boardwalk!

Afterwards, volunteers are welcome to join us for a nature hike to the boardwalk in search of birds and other native flora and fauna that call our marshes home during the summer months! Hailey Faurot has spent the last several months as our Student Conservation Association intern, running programs, participating in conservation work, and being a friendly face for our visitors.

On Tuesday, September 22 she’ll also be speaking on a panel, The Next Generation of Birding, at Climate Week NYC! Alongside other student leaders from Audubon on Campus, she'll discuss what's drawing young people to the movement, they change they want to see, and what all of us can learn from them.
