❄️Cold & Inclement Weather Safety Reminder ❄️

As colder temperatures and winter weather move in, we want to remind everyone to take a few extra steps to stay safe and warm. Please keep our most vulnerable neighbors in mind, especially the elderly and those without reliable heat. Dress in layers and limit time outdoors during extreme cold! If you have to travel during cold/inclement weather, slow down, increase following distance, and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle!

This past Saturday, Jan. 17th, 2026, members of the Central Campbell Fire District were bestowed an honor befitting of their dedication and professionalism. All too often we deal with tragedy and heartache in the fire service but on this day, we got to celebrate. Celebrate the work of these fine individuals and the life of a young woman who was given a second chance to live a long and fruitful life.

Congratulations to Capt. Rob Kloeker, Lt. Ray Dishman, Eng. Aaron Weiner, Eng. Ross Adams, FF/Medic Ron Burchfield, FF/Medic Dave Weghorn, and FF/Medic Brett Iles on receiving the Monica Rath Emergency Medical Service Award at the Northern Kentucky Firefighters Association Awards Banquet. Exemplary work gentlemen!

***Training accomplishment***:
This past month Engineer Neyman completed a 40 hour course and is now a certified Hazmat Technician. Congrats! Thank you for continuing to better yourself and Central Campbell. This specialized training helps to recognize and mitigate unique and complex incidents.

Central Campbell Fire now has 10 Hazmat Technicians. The extra work and education our guys put in directly enhances the departments ability to respond effectively to incidents within the community.

Traffic accident at 27 northbound between the south end of Ripple Creek Rd and the north end of Ripple Creek Rd. Use an alternate route if traveling 27 north in Cold Spring.

Be sure to be on the lookout for our members who will be out and about in our district to hand out candy. Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone!

This evening, members were outside to send off the Campbell County High School Band of Pride. They are headed to the KMEA State Marching Band Championships at Western Kentucky University. Good luck and safe travels Camels!

We would like to give some special recognition to some of our Firefighters. Since September these guys have attended 8 different courses, putting in over 350 hours of extra training! In addition we have had 4 complete medic class and pass the National Registry!
