Traffic Alert: West Lakeshore Drive

Please note that starting Monday, September 14th, the Town of Colchester's contractors will be completing repairs in the roadway in front of 760 and 794 W. Lakeshore Drive.

A single lane closure will be in place starting after 8:30 am, with alternating traffic in the open lane controlled by flaggers. The closure will be removed by 2:30 pm.

This work, including pavement restoration, is expected to be completed by Friday, September 18th.

The meeting will be held at Town Hall (781 Blakely Road) in the Outer Bay Room (third floor).

Please note, the Colchester Town Offices and the Burnham Memorial Library will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

The Colchester Recreation Center (Colchester Parks & Recreation) will be open in the morning on this date but will close early at 12:30 p.m.

Reminder from the Town Clerk's Office!

The first installment of the Fiscal Year 2027 Municipal Services and State of Vermont Education Property Taxes is due August 31st.

Ways to pay can be found at https://colchestervt.gov/330/Payment-Options and include:

• In person at the Town Clerk's counter, M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
• Online via link above
• Using the drop box at the front of Town Hall

Colchester does accept US postmarked mailed payments of August 31st or earlier as on time. Please be sure to have your payment hand cancelled (stamped) at a US Postal Office service counter.
