As the late winter snow falls upon us, remember that there’s no parking on any streets from 4 am to 8 am to allow for the snow plows to remove snow. This goes for Main Street and all other side streets within the town. This will be in effect until April.

Cokeville Police Department, WY - K9 Harley will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Harley’s vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”. Delivery is expected within ten weeks.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and National Institute of Justice (NIJ) certified. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 6,348 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s in all 50 states, made possible by both private and corporate donations.

The program is open to U.S. dogs at least 20 months old, actively employed, and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate. There are an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s throughout the United States.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. accepts tax-deductible contributions in any amount, while a single donation of $1,050 will sponsor one vest. Each vest has a value of $1800.00, weighs an average of 4-5 lbs., and comes with a five-year warranty. For more information, or to learn about volunteer opportunities, please call (508) 824-6978. UPDATE POWER IS BACK ON 👍

IMPORTANT POWER MESSAGE

A power outage has occurred due to a tree branch falling on a power line. West of the tracks Cokeville is out as well as the North side of Main Street and Taylor. Rocky Mountain Power is on scene however there is not an ETA for power being back up. If anyone is in need of assistance at this time please call our dispatch line at (307) 877-3971 and we will work on getting you help. We will continue to provide updates as we receive them.

Update Rocky Mountain Power has taken care of the lines so the road to the elementary is opened and kids will be able to come home as normal. Thank you for your patience.

Power line is down across sage stopping traffic in and out of the elementary school. Rocky Mountain has been notified. When it is cleared we will post an update.

Power is back on.

The power is out for Cokeville residents and surrounding. We have contacted Rocky Mountain Power and they are looking into the situation. If you wish to get ahold of them as well, feel free to report the outage.

A reminder to Cokeville residents that as stated in Cokeville Ordinance 6-305, the last day to light or shoot off fireworks inside the city limits is July 31 (this Thursday) at 11 PM.

Just a reminder if you haven’t renewed your Dog License already they expire on June 30. Licenses can be purchased for 4 years at a time. Please get your dogs licensed this helps us get them returned if they get found. Specially with the holiday weekend coming up some dogs get scared and run away. This is to be incompliance with Town ordinance 5-210.

The Town is selling the 2018 Chevy Tahoe that was used for a police vehicle. The vehicle is listed on publicsurplus.com if you are interested in placing a bid for the vehicle.
