Lake Lurleen State Park-Alabama

Official page of Lake Lurleen State Park. The 1,625-acre park is a scenic lakeside retreat. Open 7 am - sunset year round.

Facilities include a modern campground, banquet room, picnic area, play area, pavilions, beach with bathhouse,fishing piers, boat rentals and boat launch. Ninety-one modern campsites overlook the scenic 250-acre lake. All sites have water and 30 Amp electric service, and thirty-five sites have sewer hookups.

Looking for something to do with family this weekend? Why not visit Lake Lurleen State Park and enjoy one of our NEW programs!

At 10 AM, our education team will lead a guided nature hike called Learning by the Lake, starting at the South Trailhead (near the park entrance). This hike will be on relatively flat terrain with some rocks and roots, great for a beginner hiker. Be sure to pack your boots, water bottle, and plenty of snacks!

At 1 PM, take it easy and do some crafting with us during our Leaf Pounding 101 workshop! During this program, guests will learn all about the art of leaf pounding and get to make something they can treasure forever!

Fishing at Lake Lurleen State Park: where the fish are definitely biting, they just have a great sense of humor.

But let’s be honest. Between the peaceful lake views, fresh air, and a solid excuse to sit by the water all day, catching fish is really just a bonus.
