Have starts to share? 🍅🫑🍓🌻

Did you know all of our St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho housing properties include community garden beds for residents? 🌱

These gardens do more than grow vegetables and flowers. They create connection, purpose, peace, and pride. Gardening can support mental health, reduce stress, build community, and provide fresh, healthy food right outside someone’s door.

As planting season gets underway, we are looking for extra plant starts to help fill our beds with life and nourishment. Tomatoes, peppers, herbs, flowers, pumpkins, beans, peas, cucumbers, zucchini… if you have extras, we would love to share them with our residents.

If you would like to donate plant starts, you can drop them off at St. Vinny’s Thrift or the HELP Center or email [email protected] and we will coordinate pickup!

Thank you for helping hope grow, one garden bed at a time. 🌼

Today, the team from Sorren traded spreadsheets and calculators for paint brushes and rollers as part of Way of North Idaho’s Day of Action, helping give the Father Bill’s Kitchen shed a fresh new look.

It turns out accountants really enjoy a project where the numbers don’t have to balance, nobody asks for a formula, and the only thing getting audited is whether there’s enough paint left in the bucket!

We are so grateful for generous community partners like Hale, Lucas, Jacki, Gene, Ann & Sheri who are willing to step away from their desks, spend a sunny afternoon together, and pour their energy into making our campus more welcoming for the neighbors we serve each day. The bright blue doors and trim are hard to miss, and so is the generosity behind them.

Thank you, Sorren, for bringing such great attitudes, hard work, and fun to the day. We loved having you here. 💙

We are just $861 away from reaching our Idaho Gives goal!

For nearly 80 years, this community has shown up for neighbors in moments that matter most, and because of your generosity, that impact continues every single day.

Last year alone, together we helped provide 10,620 nights of shelter, served 12,385 meals at Father Bill’s Kitchen, supported hundreds of neighbors through housing programs, and helped 292 families avoid eviction.

That is what hope in action looks like.

Today is the final day of Idaho Gives, and we are so close to reaching our $1,946 goal in honor of our founding in 1946. We would love to cross that finish line together.

Whether you give $19.46, $80, $180, or simply what you can, every gift helps keep meals warm, shelter doors open, and neighbors supported right here in North Idaho.

Every gift stays local. Every act of generosity matters.

Help us close the final $861 and celebrate 80 years of hope together:

Thank you for believing in this work, this mission, and most importantly, in one another!
