INTERESTING TIDBITS ABOUT THE CANIDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR
This is a quote from Jerry Gruber:
“Let’s start with Brent Bien. I have personally known Brent for 5 years as a friend that I supported for Governor in 2022 and with whom I worked with on the Peoples Initiative for Property Tax Reduction that will appear on the ballot this fall.
Before I began working with Brent, I checked him out! If you look at his Personal/Professional resume it is 5 solid pages of accomplishments Highlighting his Leadership Philosophy, his Management Skills/Expertise, and his 28-year US Marine Corp Career as a Colonel and Attack Helicopter Pilot.
Brent is a Wyoming native, born in Laramie and attended UW College of Engineering before joining the marines and attending US Naval War College and receiving the Bronze Star with Valor among numerous other decorations.
Brent is running for Governor on powerful 5 Point Mission:
Cut residential property taxes by 50%.
Secure elections and restore trust.
Protect parental rights and bring back real education to our schools.
Push back on federal overreach and defend Wyoming’s sovereignty.
Uphold faith family and traditional Wyoming values.
Brent is NOT a politician, he is a Warrior, a Conservative, a Servant, and a Fighter.
Brent is not bought by big money. He is backed by people like you and me.
Let’s look at Megan Degenfelder, our current Superintendent of Public Instruction. She was born in Casper and attended the University of Wyoming where she earned bachelor's degrees in business economics and political science from the University of Wyoming in 2012 and in 2014 a master's degree from the University of International Business and Economics located in Chaoyang, Beijing, China. The last thing we need is a CCP connection in Wyoming!
I met Megan once 5 years ago, even though she lives in Laramie with her husband Bryan Dugas. She and Bryan have chosen not to associate with members of the Albany County Republican Party or attend any of our, Precinct Caucus’s or County Conventions or Conservative Dinners even though she receives monthly invites.
What really concerns me is on March 11, 2026, a group of Coloradan’s hosted a fundraiser for her in Englewood, Colorado with a suggested minimum donation of $2,500 per couple. Question—Why does she need to raise money from Coloradan’s? The last thing we want is Colorado political influence!
Here is a recent quote on FB post from her “She said that she is frustrated by the constraints placed on her as superintendent and the inability to make real change in education—in the curriculum.”
So, if she couldn’t get things done as the Superintendent of Public Instruction how can she handle the entire state of Wyoming?
Eric Barlow. I have never met Mr. Barlow. The following information I found online. He is a Wyoming native born in Gillette and is 59 yrs old. He is married with 2 children.
After graduating from Campbell County High School in 1984, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After serving, he went on to earn a veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 1998.
Mr. Barlow was:
Wyoming State Representative 2013—2023
Speaker of the House 2021-2023
State Senator 2023-Present
Mr. Barlow has a reputation as a “liberal Republican who loves big government.” He fought “consistently” for increasing state spending, votes against state sovereignty, “woke legislation.”
As Wyoming House Speaker “presided over a special session during Gordon’s COVID lockdowns that failed to protect the rights of the people of Wyoming.”
According to WyoRINO Voting Index Summary 2025 Mr. Barlow only voted with Conservatives 29% of the time. However, according to CPAC 77% Lifetime Rating. According to Evidence Based Wyoming “he is Very Liberal and Votes similar to Ogden Driskill.”
