They must’ve thought… “What the quack just happened?”

Eleven ducklings waddled into a storm drain at an apartment complex yesterday.

And then it was… Baby Duck Rescuers… Assemble!

Special thanks to Officer Lee, Animal Services Officer O’Neil, along with PSAs Zeller and Gray, for fishing nearly a dozen ducklings from that watery conundrum!

They were last seen with their mother heading for a family picnic at a lake nearby.

We'd like to give you a heads up that we'll be conducting a Critical Incident & Response Training from 7 AM - 3 PM at Monarch High School on Thursday, June 18th. If you're near the school, you'll likely see lots of police, police vehicles, fire trucks, and maybe even a helicopter over the school. Please don't be alarmed as it's all part of our training plan.

Many times, just showing up and doing your job, to the best of your ability and thoroughly, can make a real difference in somebody's life.

That's best summed up in a recent email Chief Hofer got complimenting PSAs Burnett and Johnson on the detailed investigation they did last summer into a crash that injured a Wynmoor Village man and totaled his golf cart. The man's son credits the PSAs crash investigation with helping bring about a positive outcome in an insurance settlement that allowed the family to buy the man a new golf cart.

In the email, the man's son wrote, "While (PSAs) Johnson and Burnett may have viewed their actions as simply doing their jobs, our family sees it differently. Their dedication, persistence, and willingness to go the extra mile had a meaningful impact on my father's life. I truly believe their efforts not only improved his quality-of-life buy may very well have extended it."

Pictured below are the man in his new golf cart, along with PSAs Burnett and Johnson.
