--==General Membership Meeting this Thursday at 10am and 7pm==--

I can not stress enough how important it is that we have a quorum at both the morning and evening sessions this week so that motions can be made and concluded. The absence of either session kicks the can another month and delays very important business from occurring. We have much to discuss and handle.

Today we kept with tradition and performed a historic Push-In ceremony for the return of 6 Battalions. We also took the time to mess with former 2nd VP Ortez now that he is a member of Headquarters 😅

Today is a day to be proud!

The Baltimore County Fire Department has officially returned to six Battalion Chiefs on duty—a major victory for our firefighters, our officers, and the citizens we serve.

This is more than just adding chiefs. It's about restoring proper span of control, strengthening command on the fireground, improving accountability, and giving our members the leadership and support they deserve when lives are on the line.

This didn't happen overnight. It happened because your union fought for it. Through persistence, advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to our members, we proved that when firefighters stand together, we can make meaningful change.

This is what a strong IAFF local looks like. This is what solidarity accomplishes. And this is another reminder that when we fight for safer staffing, stronger leadership, and better working conditions, everyone wins—including the communities we proudly serve.
