Meadow Refurbishment:

During the week of March 30, mowing will take place in the meadow between the New Daleville community, Routes 796 and 926, and Hemlock Drive. Please use caution and avoid the roped off areas that will be restricted during this time period. This mowing is being done as the first step in the meadow refurbishment project.

Meadow refurbishment involves restoring degraded land into a thriving ecosystem by removing invasive species, reintroducing native wildflowers and grasses, and managing soil hydrology. Key steps include analyzing soil, removing existing vegetation, planting native species, and maintaining growth for the first two years to enhance biodiversity and support pollinators.

Watch out for slick spots. The main roads look good but there are ice patches in low spots or under trees. The township roads all need more time for the salt to work… just be cautious and expect to find a slick spot here and there and you will be fine.
