We invite you to visit us to learn more about our Town of Coats. Our small population of 2,074 citizens allows for comfortable living and an escape from congestion.

🚧 Downtown Square Project Update! 🌳🇺🇸

We're excited to share that the Downtown Square project is continuing to make great progress! One of the most noticeable recent additions is the installation of the artificial turf, which is helping bring the vision for this new community gathering space to life.

With each passing week, we get a little closer to a completed project, and we can't wait for everyone to enjoy it.

Be sure to join us on Saturday, July 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for our Downtown Square Grand Opening and Independence Day Celebration! This will be a great opportunity to experience the new space, enjoy local vendors, and celebrate with the community.

You may notice that some landscaping is still to come. To give our plants the best opportunity to thrive, we plan to install landscaping during the ideal planting season, which is typically early spring or fall. Waiting for cooler temperatures and better growing conditions will help ensure a healthy and long-lasting addition to the square.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work to create a beautiful new space for our community. We look forward to celebrating with you on July 4th!

A friendly reminder that tires belong at approved disposal sites, not on Robert Eason Drive. Unfortunately, someone decided to donate approximately 50 tires to the roadside this week, and we're pretty sure that wasn't the beautification project we had in mind.

The individual was seen driving a white Chevy Tahoe with 30-day temporary tags. If you witness any illegal dumping in town, please report it to Town Hall so it can be investigated.

Keeping Coats clean and welcoming takes all of us. We appreciate residents who help look out for our community and report issues when they see them. Let's continue working together to keep our town looking its best!

Last night was a truly special moment for the Town of Coats!

We had the honor of recognizing Kayden Beasley, who attended the Board of Commissioners meeting alongside his family, for an incredible achievement. A proclamation was officially presented declaring May 1st, 2026 as Kayden Beasley Day in Coats 🎉

Kayden has proudly represented Coats on a global stage at the Paralympics, and we couldn’t be more proud to call him one of our own. His dedication, perseverance, and passion are an inspiration to our entire community especially to our young athletes who look up to leaders like him.

Thank you, Kayden, for always carrying Coats with you wherever you go. We’re cheering you on and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💙
