Coalinga Fire Department was requested by the Coalinga Police Department to assist a traveler who was unable to access the trunk of her vehicle after being involved in an accident. Inside were critical travel documents needed for her flight home to another country.

Using our extrication tools and training, firefighters carefully worked to gain access to the trunk and retrieve the documents.

This incident was a great reminder that the specialized equipment we use for life-saving rescues can also help solve unexpected problems when our community needs assistance.

🚒 Strike Team Deployment 🚒

Today, Coalinga Fire Department deployed Brush 371 and a crew of 3 firefighters as part of a strike team assignment to assist with the Sandy Fire in Simi Valley.

Our personnel are responding alongside agencies from across California to support wildfire suppression efforts and help protect affected communities. We are proud of our crew for answering the call to serve where help is needed most.
