🇺🇸 You may have noticed that the flags along 1st Street are still up following Labor Day.

We left them up as a reminder to remember and never forget the senseless tragedy of September 11, 2001, and all those who lost their lives that day.

Another exciting step toward opening day! 🎉

Fareway has been overwhelmed by the excitement and support from the Coal Valley community, and today brings another exciting milestone as we welcome the management team for our new store!

Please join us in welcoming Tyler Zeman, Grocery Manager, and Quinton Clark, Market Manager, to Coal Valley! Village President, Michael Bartels, had the opportunity to stop by and welcome them in person today. It’s exciting to see the progress being made.

The Village Hall will be closed on Monday September 7th, 2026 to observe the Labor Day holiday. Garbage & recycling will be pushed back one day & will be picked up on Wednesday September 9th & yard waste/bulk items on Thursday September 10th, 2026.
