⚠️ Generator Safety Reminder ⚠️
Power outages can happen anytime—but using a generator the wrong way can be deadly.
✅ Always operate generators outdoors only
✅ Keep them at least 20 feet from your home
✅ Never run a generator near windows, doors, or garages
✅ Install carbon monoxide (CO) detectors in your home
🚫 Never use a generator inside your home, basement, or garage—even if doors or windows are open.
Carbon monoxide is invisible, odorless, and can quickly become fatal. Protect your family—use generators safely every time.

Recently, Morris Hospital and EPIC Group Emergency Physicians recognized our members for actions during multiple calls that saved lives. Both calls involved people who were not breathing and had no pulse. By the time of arrival at the hospital, they had both gained back.

Great job by these members and each of our members who do outstanding work every day!

Today we remember those who gave their all in defense of this great nation. The many from our community who gave their lives so that we can continue to enjoy the freedoms we have today. Please also remember the Gold Star Families as the continue to move forward without the loves ones who gave all.

Restricted areas are 600' above and 150' below the dam on the Mississippi River and at LaGrange and Peoria on the Illinois Waterway. All other dams on the Illinois Waterway have restricted areas of 600' above and 400' below the dams.

Dam safety is a shared responsibility. You are encouraged to know your risk, know your role and be prepared to take action.
