Q: Who will be eligible to live in the new senior housing?
A: Low-income seniors will be eligible based on income verification and other criteria.
Q: Where will the housing be located?
A: The 53-unit complex will be built in the Coachella Prospera project area, in the Pueblo Viejo Community.
Q: When will construction begin, and how can I apply?
A: Construction broke ground on May 14th, 2026. Applications will be available once the leasing process opens. Make sure to subscribe to the City of Coachella and all Coachella Prospera social media pages to stay informed on the latest updates

A new chapter for senior housing in Coachella. 🏡
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Casa Sienna groundbreaking ceremony as we celebrated the start of a 53-unit affordable housing community for seniors in Coachella.
This project, led by Chelsea Investment Corporation and supported in part by Coachella Prospera through the Transformative Climate Communities Program, helps create more opportunities for seniors to live safely, independently, and with dignity in the community they helped build.

Un nuevo capítulo para la vivienda de personas mayores en Coachella. 🏡
Gracias a todos los que nos acompañaron en la ceremonia de inicio de construcción de Casa Sienna, donde celebramos el comienzo de una comunidad de 53 viviendas asequibles para personas mayores en Coachella.
Este proyecto, liderado por Chelsea Investment Corporation y apoyado en parte por Coachella Prospera a través del Programa Transformative Climate Communities, ayuda a crear más oportunidades para que las personas mayores vivan de manera segura, independiente y con dignidad en la comunidad que ayudaron a construir.

Dateland Park is getting upgraded skate features, including a new skate bowl, fun box, and beginner-friendly little launcher, helping create more active spaces for youth and families in Coachella.
