🍂🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from the Clymer Borough Police Department! 🦃🍂

As we gather with friends and family to celebrate this season of gratitude, all of us at the Clymer Borough Police Department want to wish our community a warm, safe, and joyful Thanksgiving!

While you enjoy the holiday, please remember a few important safety tips to help keep everyone safe:

🚗 Don’t Drive Impaired
If you’ve had alcohol or anything that affects your ability to drive safely—even prescribed medication—please don’t get behind the wheel. Plan ahead with a designated driver, rideshare, or taxi.

😴 Avoid Driving While Tired
Holiday travel can mean long hours on the road. Driving while drowsy is dangerous—take breaks, switch drivers if possible, and don’t hesitate to rest if you feel sleepy.

📱 Stay Focused Behind the Wheel
Put the phone down, minimize distractions, and keep your full attention on the road, especially with increased holiday traffic.

🔥 Be Safe in the Kitchen
Thanksgiving is one of the biggest cooking days of the year—never leave your stove unattended, keep flammable items away from open flames, and ensure smoke detectors are working.

❄️ Prepare for Changing Weather
As temperatures drop, watch for icy spots on roads and sidewalks. Give yourself extra travel time and increase your following distance when driving.

Please enjoy your time with family and friends, and know that we are here for you—today and every day.

Happy Thanksgiving, Clymer and Marion Center Boroughs! Stay safe and enjoy the holiday! 🦃🍁

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸

Today, the Clymer Borough Police Department proudly joins our community in honoring the brave men and women who have served our nation in the United States Armed Forces.

Your courage, dedication, and sacrifice have preserved the freedoms and safety we enjoy every day. Freedom isn't free. We are especially grateful to our local veterans and to those within our law enforcement family who have also worn the uniform of our country.

Thank you for your service, your strength, and your example.

We salute you today and every day.

The Clymer Borough Police Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jim "Lefty" Rushton and the members of the Dixonville Moose, Lodge 833 Family Center for their generous donation of Tommy Moose plush toys 🫎.

These stuffed animals will be carried in our patrol vehicles and provided to children during emergencies or stressful situations, helping to bring comfort when it's needed most.

Jim stopped by the Clymer Fire Hall to present the donation and posed for a photo with Police Chief Adam Lewis and Clymer Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief John Gromley.

We truly appreciate the continued support from our community partners like the Dixonville Moose. Together, we make Clymer, Marion Center, and the surrounding communities a stronger and more caring place to live.

Our hearts are with the two Pennsylvania State Troopers who were shot in the line of duty last night. We honor their bravery and sacrifice, and we stand with their families and fellow Troopers during this difficult time.

It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the tragic ambush in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania, in which five law‑enforcement officers were shot while serving a warrant, three of them fatally.

These officers responded to what began as a domestic‑violence / stalking investigation and made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Two others remain critically injured.

Let us hold our thoughts and prayers for the fallen, for the injured, and for their loved ones. Their courage, sense of duty, and commitment to protecting the public deserve our highest respect.

God bless Detectives Mark Baker, Cody Becker, and Isaiah Emenhiser. You will not be forgotten. May God be with the two officers in critical condition and bless them with a speedy recovery.

We also must recognize wider issues this event brings to the forefront: mental health crises, domestic violence, and the risks faced daily by those sworn to protect. As a community, we must support solutions that preserve safety for all and prevent such tragedies in the future.

To the law enforcement community: thank you. Your sacrifice never goes unnoticed.

This morning Mr. Jordan Pierre with Southwestern Advantage came by the office to let us know who he was and to let us know that he will be working in Clymer Borough for the next several weeks. Mr. Pierre is a traveling educational resource salesman and sells educational materials throughout the United States. Mr. Pierre will be driving a Blue 4 Door Kia Sedan with a Southwestern Advantage sticker affixed to the back door. The Vehicle has a Florida License plate of JVC-S91.

Every year we are inundated with calls about traveling salespeople and people questioning their legitimacy most of whom never take the time to come into the Police Station and introduce themselves and their business to us.

Chief Waller and Officer Lewis met with Mr. Pierre this morning and took photographs with him so we could let the people of this county know who Mr. Pierre is and that he is a legitimate businessman.

Chief Waller would like to thank Mr. Pierre for taking the time to meet with the Clymer Police this morning as this step will hopefully prevent most questions as to his legitimacy.

Below you will find photographs of Mr. Pierre, his vehicle and Company Signage.
