Buckle up for Safety Town! ⛑️🚔🚒

This program is our city’s greatest asset, teaching our children how to be safe and mindful citizens through fun songs and hands on learning opportunities.

Mrs. V has been running the program for the past two years. The O’Rear family knows her as Perrysburg’s best kindergarten teacher. Along with her assistant director Miss Cole, Officer Charles, Officer Greg and the team of teachers and volunteers, they are setting our kids up with the values and knowledge they need to live the Jacket Way! 🐝

Let’s smash some bugs, Perrysburg!

The Spotter Lanternfly has invaded our area, and we’re fighting back. Join us for the second Big Squish on July 14th at 5 pm at Orleans Park. Thanks to our Natural Resources manager, Perrysburg received a $15,000 grant to help our efforts. We will be squishing bugs and learning how to keep the insect’s population down through natural methods that do not harm our local ecosystem. We hope to see you there!

This is so fun!

6/6/20 Today at 10am is the monthly test of the Outdoor Warning Sirens. Remember, these are meant to be heard outdoors and not indoors. Always have multiple ways to receive emergency notifications: Weather radios, Everbridge, phone apps, local media, etc.

Spent the morning at the Perrysburg Wastewater Treatment Plant with Council President Rick Rettig!

We were there to check out the digester rehabilitation project and the new dome over the largest digester. Plant Manager Mickey Shank never fails to explain everything thoroughly. I am always so grateful for his willingness to make time for us.

A huge shoutout to the incredible team at the plant for their hard work and dedication. Their efforts are ensuring that the project’s side effects are as comfortable as possible for nearby residents and parkgoers. These improvements will contribute to our city’s health and cleanliness for many years to come. Thank you for your commitment to our community!

🚴‍♂️🛴 Ebikes and electric scooters are all the rage, but let’s ride safely and responsibly. It’s crucial to know the rules here in Perrysburg to keep ourselves and others safe. Check out this webpage for the details on what’s allowed and what’s not. And remember, safety first—make sure your child wears a helmet! https://perrysburgoh.gov/352/Transportation-Device-Safety

🚨🚔 It’s the best time of the year! Safety Town is in Session! 🚔🚨

Tuesday is police cruiser demonstration day at Safety Town. If you live in the area of Woodland Elementary, you will hear sirens intermittently between the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm as students get to check out police cruisers.

Great info before tomorrow’s opening day! I’m hoping to face my fears and jump off the high dive this summer 😬
