💧 BOIL WATER NOTICE UPDATE 💧

We are still waiting for the official test results needed to lift the Boil Water Notice.

As soon as we receive confirmation that the notice can be lifted, we will notify everyone immediately through the Clyde Connect app, Facebook, and the City’s website.

Until then, the Boil Water Notice remains in effect.

📢 CLYDE CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE FORUM UPDATE

We are excited to announce that Callahan County Judge Nicki Harle will be serving as the moderator for this year’s Clyde City Council Candidate Forum!

The public is encouraged to attend and hear directly from the candidates as they answer questions about issues important to Clyde and the future of our community.

We want our citizens to be part of the forum by helping shape the questions that will be asked. Citizens are encouraged to submit questions they would like to hear the candidates answer.

🚨 UPDATE: WATER SERVICE RESTORED – BOIL WATER NOTICE IN EFFECT 🚨

Both major water line breaks have been repaired, and water service has been restored throughout the City of Clyde.

⚠️ The City of Clyde is now under a Boil Water Notice until further notice. Please follow all boil water precautions until the City officially announces that the notice has been rescinded.

💧 PLEASE BE ADVISED: As water pressure returns to the system, residents may notice that their water appears brown, cloudy, or milky. This can occur as the system repressurizes and sediment and air in the lines are disturbed following the repairs.

City crews will continue monitoring the water system, and we will provide an update as soon as the Boil Water Notice can be lifted.

A huge thank you to our City crews for working quickly to repair both major breaks, and thank you to our residents for your patience and understanding throughout the day.

We would also like to thank the many City departments and officials who came out to lend a hand, including City Council, City Administration, the Police Department, Code Enforcement, and Parks & Recreation.

Today was a great example of what happens when there is a problem in our community. When something happens in our home, we all band together, step up, and do whatever we can to help get the problem fixed.

🚧 🚨 WATER LINE UPDATE 🚨 🚧

The water line break at North 1st Street and Cherry Street has been repaired!

City crews are now actively working to repair the water line break at Stephen’s Street and California Street.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as crews work to complete the repairs.

🚨 URGENT WATER SYSTEM UPDATE 🚨

Due to two major water line breaks, the City of Clyde’s water supply is currently shut off while City crews work urgently to repair the damaged lines.

💧 Residents should expect to be without water until repairs can be completed and service is restored.

Once water service is restored, the City will be under a Boil Water Notice. Additional information and instructions regarding the Boil Water Notice will be provided when service is restored.

These water line breaks are believed to be related to the extended dry conditions followed by the recent rainfall, which can cause shifting and movement in the ground and place additional stress on water lines.

Our crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to make the necessary repairs and restore water service.

⚠️ We will provide updates as soon as additional information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while our crews work to resolve this situation.

HUGE SHOUTOUT TO TRISTAN SKINNER!

At last Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the City of Clyde had the honor of recognizing Tristan Skinner for an incredible achievement: earning the rank of Eagle Scout!

Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is the highest achievement in Scouting and represents years of hard work, dedication, leadership, service, and commitment.

In recognition of this outstanding accomplishment, Mayor Stephen Steele presented Tristan with a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the City of Clyde.

👏 Please join us in congratulating Tristan on this well-deserved achievement! We are proud to recognize young leaders in our community who demonstrate dedication, service, and a commitment to making a difference.

🗳️ Election Day is getting closer!

While Early Voting does not begin until October 19, we wanted to give everyone an early look at who will appear on the Clyde City Council ballot and their ballot placement!

This year, three City Council positions are up for election. Current Council Members Aimee Jolly, David Mann, and Jim Rector are seeking election/re-election. They are joined in the race by Clyde citizens Danny White and Dwayne McWhorter, bringing the field to five candidates for three available Council positions.
