Please vaccinate your furry pets

The New York State Department of Health's Wadsworth Laboratory has confirmed rabies in a cat from the Town of Galen. One person was exposed and is being treated. Wayne County Public Health is urging residents to avoid wildlife and to ensure all domestic cats, dogs and ferrets are vaccinated for rabies. Wayne County Public Health will be holding free rabies vaccination clinics this month.
