Food pantry donation
11-20-2025

10 year old Presley Hermes, of Green Springs, coordinated and raised $2000.00 for the Clyde back door food pantry. With assistance of her mother D’Andera and father Trevor Hermes, collected and brought $1,500.00 in food purchased with $1,500, and a monetary donation of $500.00.

Presley was able to collect the money and purchase food for the holiday season. Today with the help of her mom Dee and her aunt Connie, delivered the food and check for $500.00 to our community food pantry.

I would like to take this time to say thank you to this extremely generous young individual for all her hard work and time put into helping our community feed those in need.

I would also like to thank all of the others who have donated their time, resources and help in support for our area community and truly appreciate Presley, and everyone else who have supported us through the years.

Activities for all ages; bounce houses, craft station, kids games, baseball/softball hitting competition, first responder vehicles, local work trucks, live music by Rumours (Ohio’s #1 Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band), food trucks, and more!

The Fireworks start at 10pm!

If you are wondering who is the one going around Clyde during the day, knocking on doors, it is a university student from Europe, Estonia (Bookgirl Luise Laas), she is doing a summer exchange program selling educational books and apps for families from young toddlers all the way to college prep. This is Luise's 1st week in Clyde, so if you see her, don't be afraid to say hi. Luise has acquired a vendor's permit approved by the city manager and the police department.

The City has been working with Designing Local on a master plan for downtown redevelopment, and the plan is nearing completion and is ready for final review. This will be an open house-style, stop in anytime between 5 and 7 pm this coming Wednesday, April 17th, and check out some of the new ideas and concepts for the downtown area.
