UPDATE! Power has been restored and the Parks & Permits offices will be OPEN tomorrow.

Power is out at the Clute Municipal Park and the surrounding areas and is anticipated to be out for several hours while CenterPoint makes repairs. Please be aware that the B.R.Hester Building, including the Fitness Center and Building Permits offices, will be CLOSED for the remainder of the day.

🚨 City of Clute Flood Alert 🚨

The City of Clute is currently experiencing flooding on several streets throughout the community. Residents are urged to exercise extreme caution when traveling.

⚠️ Avoid driving through flooded areas whenever possible. Even shallow water can be dangerous.
🚧 Barricades will be placed at unsafe locations. Do NOT drive around or move barricades—they are there for your safety.
🚗 Limit time on roadways and only travel if necessary.
🐢 Drive slowly on wet or flooded streets to reduce wake, which can push water into nearby homes and properties.
🌊 Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
⚡ Stay alert for hidden hazards such as submerged debris, damaged pavement, or downed utilities.

City crews are actively monitoring conditions and working to ensure public safety. Updates will be provided as needed. Please stay safe, look out for your neighbors, and report hazardous conditions to local authorities.

6 inches of water can stall your car. 12 inches can carry it away. Floodwater doesn’t care!

🔄 Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
Find another route. Call someone. Wait it out. Do anything except drive into high water.

Your life is worth more than getting to your location.

Out of an abundance of caution, and for the safety of our seniors, we have decided to cancel tomorrow's get together. We will see you all on July 14th!
